The Opportunity

Come join IGN Entertainment as a Consumer & B2B Events Manager! We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced events professional to manage planning and the execution across IGN's high-profile event portfolio. This individual contributor role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can coordinate complex projects across departments, and is passionate about delivering best-in-class experiences for our fans and partners.

As the Consumer & B2B Events Manager, you'll work with the Events Director on the execution of IGN's custom and tentpole events - from concept to completion. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, manage vendor relationships, oversee budgets, and ensure all event elements are delivered smoothly and on-brand. This role is perfect for someone with strong project management skills and a hands-on approach to bringing events to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report to the Events Director and help manage planning and execution for IGN's key events, including Fan Fest, Summer of Gaming, IGN LIVE, gamescom, Comic-Con, Games Industry Biz events (UK), red carpet events, and more.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Creative Solutions, Editorial, Video, Production, Marketing) and possibly lead meetings to ensure all event deliverables are scoped, scheduled, and executed on time.
  • Work closely with Sales to support pre-sale opportunities, contribute to RFPs, and ensure sponsorship deliverables are feasible and effectively executed.
  • Manage relationships with venues, vendors, and production partners - including contract review/ evaluation, timelines, deliverables, and on-site coordination.
  • Work with the Sales Operations Director to track and manage event budgets, ensuring costs align with project goals and reporting back to leadership and finance.
  • Serve as the point of contact during on-site execution at events (domestic and international).
  • Coordinate with PR, editorial, and social teams to help promote IGN's presence at events and amplify fan engagement.
  • Create post-event reports and recaps to capture performance, ROI, and opportunities for improvement.
  • This position is based in Los Angeles, CA.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in event production, experiential marketing, or project management
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to self-manage
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Experience with vendor management, budgeting, and contracts
  • Knowledge of press/media activations and video production workflows is a plus
  • Passion for gaming and entertainment is a strong advantage
  • Comfortable with travel, including international events
  • Portfolio of prior events/projects required


Work Environment:
  • Work Schedule: Full time, M-F. Due to the nature of the role, there is an expectation for this role to work hours outside of typical business hours based on the needs of clients and events management.
  • Travel Requirements: Travel to events, event locations, as needed. International travel as needed. May be required to work weekends due to events and load in/ load out schedules.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to bend and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Work Model: This role will be required to go into our Los Angeles office on a hybrid basis, Tuesday - Thursday.

Salary Disclosure: Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The base pay for this position ranges from $110k to $130k, plus incentive compensation (for eligible roles only), 401K with company match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short and long-term disability, and a flexible time off policy.
