Description:
SMX is looking for a highly motivated Program Analyst with demonstrated experience to perform program analysis functions on Aircraft or Weapons Systems to support Naval Air Systems (NAVAIR) programs. This is an onsite position that will provide support to PMA 281 at Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
As the Program Analyst, you will join a team of highly driven, supportive, and skilled professionals engaged in supporting program management, technical, or business case analysis across the NAVAIR community.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Working with teams on a mission planning software system
Perform functions/role within the Agile SAFe software development framework
Analyzes program requirements, status, budget, and schedules
Perform program management, technical, and/or business case analysis
Participate as a member of and/or supports the specified Program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs); and IPT directed business meetings
Collect, complete, organize and interpret technical data and financial information relating to aircraft acquisition and product programs
Monitor and report performance against plans to ensure that contractual cost and schedule objectives are met
Track program/project status and schedules
Apply policies and procedures for financial planning
Support customer tag-ups, working groups and various milestone events
Interpret technical and financial information related to aircraft acquisition and product programs
Develop program materials, meeting minutes and action tracking based on data collection using Microsoft products (Word, Project, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Participate in Risk Management and deliverable management activities
Assist in planning, manning, executing and contract duties to maintain cost, schedule, and performance
Using scheduling tools, provide insight and oversight of program progress with emphasis on critical path activities and impacts to deployment of capabilities
Required Skills & Experience
Clearance Required: Secret
BS or BA in Business Administration, Computer Systems Administration, or Information Systems Management. Allowable substitution includes: 6 years' additional experience within these functional duties in lieu of a degree, or an associate's degree and 4 years of additional experience
At least five (5) years of experience in program management, technical or business analysis discipline, performing the functional duties to be performed for this position.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite of tools
Ability to learn new technical areas quickly
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to travel once every 2-3 months
Desired Skills & Experience:
Agile and or SAFE certification
