CP Skin Health Group is looking for a Category Innovation Manager to join our team and lead our efforts to uncover breakthrough innovation opportunities for the Skin Health Group. The Category Innovation Manager is responsible for working with our EltaMD brand teams, Insights, R&D teams and commercial partners to identify, validate and launch new products, services and solutions. This individual is people centric and leverages empathy and creativity to envision new solutions to help people achieve their skin health goals. This position is based in New York, NY.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.

The Category Innovation Manager is responsible for working with our EltaMD brand teams, Insights, R&D teams and commercial partners to identify, validate and launch new products, services and solutions. This individual is people centric and leverages empathy and creativity to envision new solutions to help people achieve their skin health goals. This position is based in New York, NY.
What you will do
- Generate opportunity spaces by building a deep understanding of category unmet needs and challenges.
- Monitor the external marketplace (both inside and outside of the category) for emerging trends, novel solutions, and technologies.
- Collaborate with Insights, R&D, brands, and external accelerators to identify, assess and validate new to the category and new to-world skin health innovation.
- Work with regional teams to develop go-to-market models for innovation and develop incubation business plans.
- Manage ongoing innovation projects and resources.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Business or related discipline
- 6+ years of work experience in a product marketing innovation role
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA
- Experience with Design Thinking / Business Model Canvas
- Prior working experience in the skincare industry, sun care industry, and in a large, multi-national company
- Prior working experience in global marketing developing concept writing and storytelling
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple innovation projects
- Proven ability to successfully build a network and operate as a team member working to collaborate and influence others.
- Passionately curious and proficient at connecting people's needs, technologies, and business opportunities with an experimental, resilient, and agile approach to design thinking and creative experimentation.
