Who You Are
- Customer-Obsessed: You build with users in mind - the experience is as important as the functionality.

- Curious Generalist: You're fast to pick up new technologies and don't shy away from unfamiliar challenges.
- Technically Strong: You're fluent in modern web technologies and frameworks.
- Experienced: You have 5-8 years of hands-on engineering experience, ideally in fast-moving environments.
- 5-8 years experience as a fullstack software engineer, building and iterating on real products
- Proven track record leading 0 1 product development at startups or high-growth companies
- Senior or staff-level engineer at a top-tier company (e.g. Stripe, Rippling, Brex, Harvey)
- FAANG experience is welcome if paired with early-stage product-building experience - Deep expertise in your preferred languages and frameworks (we care more about skill than stack)
- Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Fullstack capabilities with a frontend-leaning edge - comfortable designing clean UIs and component libraries
- Strong product sense - you refine things until they're right, not just until they work
- Interest in the personal finance or tax space
- Familiarity with secure data handling, document parsing, or integrations with IRS/tax software
- Desire to grow into a leadership role as the company scales
- Help define the technical foundation of a category-defining fintech product
- Ship fast in a low-ego, high-ownership culture
- Build something that removes pain and confusion from millions of people's lives
- Work closely with an exceptional founding team in hybrid onsite setup in SF
