Description:
The Business Development Lead, Tile & Metal, provides North American leadership identifying and earning new business with Metal, Composite Roofing, and Tile for roofing components products. This leader will drive growth with a diversified components portfolio and be an integral part of achievement of Owens Corning's Tile & Metal growth strategy. Through successful cross functional collaboration, the role will provide commercial guidance of strategy, price, volume, and mix to optimize Owens Corning's margin with balanced portfolio management of distribution and private label products. The Business Development Lead is a contributing member of the Components Business and Roofing Sales leadership teams, developing strong relationships and credibility and operating as a trusted advisor and business partner. The desired location for this role is the Southeastern region of the United States.

Span of Control: Leads North America in conversion opportunities with Metal, Tile, Composite Slate/Shake; Works with Canadian Roofing Regional Sales Leader (RSL) to help grow components mix

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Acumen and Growth
- Through an expanded use of analytics and insights, continuously builds a deep understanding of our customers and the marketplace, develops strategies to generate growth opportunities, and understands local requirements to bring differential value to customers and outperform competitors.
- Identifies internal and external resource needs to ensure customer plans are executed fully.

- Thoroughly understands business operations, from forecasting, to supply chain, to market results, and how decisions impact overall business outcomes.
Commercial Strategy and Business Planning
- Develop strong relationships and credibility with strategic internal stakeholders and operate as a trusted advisor and business partner. (Marketing, Pricing, Supply Chain)
- Understand and educate key internal stakeholders on channel dynamics driving the identification of the key initiatives which will translate into higher value for the customer and change how they view Owens Corning.
- Drives new and different ideas, innovation, collaboration across areas of the business, and participates in business leadership level discussion.
- Informs and develops strategy, leveraging knowledge of how our business and our customers' businesses align, and where and how we can best grow across markets.
- Exhibits a commitment to strategy and ensures consistent implementation of strategy throughout the organization.
- Profitably grows Components market share in key regions where additional share is targeted and supported by regional strategies.
- Understands overall and area business strategies; takes initiative in creating and leading execution of national and regional market strategies to achieve success and support the larger goal.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Driving organic growth in a sales organization
- Gaining alignment, developing, and leading strategies throughout the organization
- Leading an organization in a range of economic conditions (i.e. expansion, contraction, etc.)
- Increasing margins through aggressive management of price, mix and cost.
- Marketing and selling new products and services; attracting new customers in the tile & metal category
