Job Description
We are looking for a team member with experience in concepting and selling special machinery with experience in manufacturing planning who can help develop our partner and customer network. If you are a candidate that has a solid understanding of the Manufacturing Machine Building Market, complemented by strong customer and industry relationships including a good understanding of the machinery procurement process, we are looking for you.
Key to success in the role is a strong technical background, an understanding of manufacturing planning and machinery project development.
The role will collaborate closely with Bosch's technical and business teams in the US, Mexico and at headquarters in Germany.
** Travel will be 30%- 40% domestic or international. **

Specific Responsibilities:
- Business Development: identify potential customers in our target markets, their need and align with our portfolio in the special purpose machinery industry. Generating leads, business opportunities and establish customer contacts as well as maintaining those. Drive innovation with a customer oriented approach, to shape our future portfolio. Prioritize customer business potential by commercially and technically qualifying opportunities, based on Bosch's portfolio.
- Engineering: develop special purpose machinery concepts based on identified customer needs and drive implementation in collaboration with the respective Bosch engineering teams. Clarify technical details and hand over to the project operations.
- Sales: Align NDAs and purchasing agreements, define quotation content, define price strategies and support the conclusion of contracts.
- Partner strategy: Building a strategy for identifying innovative partners, outreach, benchmarking and relationship building with key partners.
- Collaboration: Work with our units worldwide to create product solutions specific to the needs of the customers. Initiate business acquisition activities and work closely with our partners to close the deal.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering.
- Master's degree in industrial engineering preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing planning / concepting with special purpose machinery / automation / industrial robotics. Experienced in identifying customer needs for realizing services and product potential into the Manufacturing Industry.
- Experience working with automotive OEMs and understanding their Capital Expenditures processes.
- Intimate knowledge of Manufacturing Machine Building industry in the US, Canada, and ideally international markets.
- Strong relationships and access to industry knowledge and market trends.
- Ability to capture customer and market requirements and transfer knowledge fully to the internal network.
- Strong project delivery capability / project management skills to lead and execute new business opportunities.
- Strong analytical competence and the ability to breaking down complex topics.
- Ability to effectively develop, articulate and sell strategies and ideas to senior management, peers and customers.
- Knowledge of ancillary industry sectors such as Battery -, eDrive -, H2 -, Production is a plus.
