Title:
Senior System Engineer

KBR is seeking an IT Senior Systems Engineer to support the Government customer in defining new mission requirements, to include the analysis, documentation, and its maintenance. The candidate will perform classic Systems Engineering sub-tasks such as Requirements, Configuration Management, Integration, Verification, Validation and Test (IV&V), Risk and Readiness. This position envisions representing the Government team and working with development contractors in performing all aspects of agile software development and deployment of mission software to operations.

This is a contingent position based upon contract award

Responsibilities include:
  • Provide expert technical recommendations and advice on the development and integration of requirements supporting the IT Enterprise
  • Work with Enterprise IT Support Offices and contracts to accomplish Government requirements
  • Conduct analysis of system requirements based on technical and functional needs; and provide support to design and development activities
  • Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies
  • Analyze user requirements, concept of operation documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specification
  • Conduct needs and gaps, capability, system, or service technology roadmap assessments
  • Interact with the Government customer regarding system engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts
  • Other duties as required


Minimum qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • Doctorate in Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Math field and 8 years of experience in system engineering. Master's Degree and 10 years of experience or Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of experience can be substituted in place of Doctorate degree requirement
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication and coordination skills


Travel Requirements:
  • Travel Required: CONUS and OCONUS may be required; Up to 10%
