Information Governance Team's Mission

The Information Governance team's primary focus is to support the execution of Weyerhaeuser's enterprise data and analytics strategy to leverage information as a business asset, enabling sustainable growth, profitability, and internal efficiency through improved data structures, reporting, analytical tools, and governance. We are also responsible for fostering a more data literate culture across the enterprise.

Position Overview

As a Senior Analyst, you will assist in leading the expansion of Information Governance and our Data Management program across the company. You will also be a key contributor to ensuring the alignment of data requirements between business and technology teams by working alongside key stakeholders to understand business process and data flows. You will support the team's accountability for the integrity of master data and reports in the SAP system and across the integrated systems landscape and provide guidance as necessary for new information governance processes including data and reporting maintenance. This exciting opportunity requires the best of your leadership, data analysis, problem solving, and collaboration skills as you work with various businesses and leaders, and mentor team members, to ensure the successful implementation and sustainability of information governance and data management practices.

The Senior Data Governance Analyst will contribute to and/or provide leadership and oversight in the following areas:
  • Support the Information Governance team activities to champion data and reporting ownership, standardization, accessibility, lifecycle, and related governance processes.
  • Communicate the importance of master data management and governance, provide guidance on best practices, processes, and data quality improvement to other teams and enforce governance accountability across all levels of information stakeholders.
  • Assist in leading Information Governance Committee meetings to drive strategic initiatives, foster collaboration among stakeholders and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead and assist with profiling source systems, identifying and developing rules for critical data elements, managing and driving adoption of the business glossary, and collaborating with IT, Enterprise Architecture, and key stakeholders in critical roles (i.e., Data Owners and Data Stewards).
  • Support the creation and maintenance of governance policy documents and standard operating procedures and enforcement of policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent practices across the company.
  • Provide leadership and participate in projects involving upstream or downstream data flows and processes.
  • Establish data quality standards and metrics, design, implement and maintain dashboards and scorecards, monitor compliance, report status, and ensure quality standards are achieved.
  • Design and implement awareness and training programs for Information Governance.
  • Manage master data creation/maintenance in various source systems to support business teams.
  • Conduct data management assessments for new projects or changes to existing systems, identify weaknesses/gaps, drive process improvements, present conclusions/recommendations to stakeholders/leadership, and communicate information requirements and related changes to impacted organizations and users.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members by sharing knowledge, offering constructive feedback, and encouraging them to build confidence and skill.
  • Review and execute changes to SAP master data and reports, ensuring alignment with governance policies.
  • Develop control structures within SAP environments to ensure data accuracy and quality.
  • Partner with the SAP Security team to ensure appropriate access levels and administer governance of SAP access and GRC controls.
  • Leverage industry-leading trends and innovations in data management and reporting technologies.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Data & Analytics, Accounting, Finance, or a similar discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience in data/information governance, business finance, or accounting, with a strong preference for at least 2 years in business finance, or accounting.
  • Experience with SAP HANA, GRC, MDG, and analytical reporting tools like Power BI.
  • Experience with master data maintenance, including data analysis, profiling, cleansing, and validation.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining standards, policies, and related controls.
  • Ability to translate user requirements into functional specifications and systems design for master data elements.
  • Demonstrated expert communication skills with the ability to deliver presentations to all levels within an organization.
  • Demonstrable ability to build business knowledge through meaningful partnerships and work collaboratively to foster relationships, and trust across all levels of the enterprise, from individual contributors to senior management.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and resolve ambiguous situations, making informed decisions and providing clear direction in uncertain environments.
  • Experience applying data management practices and tools to address data management risks.
  • Ability to lead and manage data governance initiatives.
  • Passion for information management, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and an ability to synthesize key information/data and research to recommend initiatives that meet business goals.
  • Highly effective at influencing at all levels of an organization in a collaborative environment to implement effective compliance measures and policies.
  • Able to multi-task and manage multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Innate curiosity and ability to dig into details without losing sight of the overall objective.
What We Offer:

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $88,910-$133,506 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
