- Vendor Selection and Negotiation: Identify top-quality vendors and negotiate programs that benefit our customers and our bottom line.
- Market Analysis: Dive into market research to ensure we have the right products in the right stores at the right prices.
- Performance Monitoring: Utilize sales data, gross profit reports, and ad hoc analyses to ensure your categories meet performance targets.
- Product Management: Stay ahead of industry trends by adding and removing products based on market changes and customer demands.
- Innovation and Problem-Solving: Test new products and troubleshoot supply chain issues to keep our operations running smoothly.
Requirements
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience: 5-7 years in a retail operations environment, with a strong foundation in merchandising, purchasing, and manufacturing.
- Skills:
- Strong financial acumen and excellent communication skills.
- Proven vendor management and analytical abilities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
