The Manager of Professional Practice Programs is responsible for the coordination and management of nursing personnel, programs, projects and initiatives, and serves as a consultant to other departments across Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. The Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, participating in and evaluating defined programmatic activities in the Office of Nursing Professional Practice (e.g., nursing education, practice, quality, standards of care, etc.). As a working manager, you will exercise supervisory responsibilities for the program staff, including hiring, discipline/corrective action, and performance management.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing
Licensure/Certification: RN license in MD or compact state. Certification in area of specialty.
Experience: 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, in addition to 3 years of interdepartmental program/project management. Supervisory experience preferred.

Salary Range: Minimum $55.81/hour - Maximum $86.51/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.

- Program Management - Develop, coordinate and manage nursing professional program projects that create a positive image of Johns Hopkins Nursing, meet strategic initiatives, and fulfill the mission of the hospital/department.
- Personnel management - Manages personnel and supports program activities through active participation in daily project work as needed.
- Fiscal management - Seeks and recommends potential opportunities for cost containment and analyzes trends that may impact cost effective delivery.
- Departmental and Organizational Support - Collaborates with other leaders to achieve goals and objectives within the program and across the Office of Professional Practice programs.
