Job Description
Position: Supply Chain Manager
Location: Nashville, TN or Remote
Overview: The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement, contracting, logistics, and vendor management of major Owner-Furnished Equipment (OFE) for Silicon Ranch. This role requires a strategic and commercially driven professional with deep experience in supply chain management, contract negotiation, and stakeholder collaboration within the solar industry. The Supply Chain Manager will play a critical role in developing long-term vendor relationships, optimizing and documenting procurement processes, and ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of equipment.
This position requires strong leadership to mentor and develop the team while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, including engineering, legal, contract management, project management, project finance, and operations.
Main Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain contracting, preferably in renewables, construction, or a related industry.
Proven track record in negotiating complex commercial transactions with an emphasis on cost control, risk management, and supplier performance.
Strong financial acumen, with the ability to assess pricing trends, commodity fluctuations, and supply chain risks.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Experience:
Experience with EPC contracts, logistics coordination, and domestic content regulations.
Experience leading or mentoring a procurement/supply chain team.

- Strategic Procurement & Vendor Management
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for key Owner-Furnished Equipment (OFE) categories, including Transformers, Inverters, Racking, Modules, and other major equipment.
- Establish and maintain long-term strategic vendor relationships, ensuring cost competitiveness and reliability of supply.
- Support and lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution, ensuring optimal commercial terms.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with strategic suppliers to track performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Implement supplier performance evaluation metrics to enhance accountability and efficiency.
- Commercial & Contract Management
- Structure and negotiate Master Supply Agreements (MSAs) and long-term procurement frameworks.
- Ensure alignment with domestic content regulations, working with the project teams and suppliers to secure and maintain compliance certifications.
- Manage risk exposure by tracking key commodity markets (steel, copper, aluminum, etc.) and advising on forward cost curves and budgetary impacts.
- Develop, refine and ensure alignment of procurement policies and procedures to improve efficiency, communication and transparency.
- Logistics & Execution
- Ensure effective scheduling, tracking, and delivery of Owner-Furnished Equipment (OFE) to meet construction timelines.
- Collaborate with project teams to monitor deliveries and address on-site procurement needs.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of procurement schedules and specifications into RFPs and Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) subcontracts.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Provide direct, hands-on leadership and mentorship to the Supply Chain team, fostering professional growth and strong performance.
- Enhance the team's commercial and negotiation skills, ensuring alignment with best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
- Act as a strategic liaison between the procurement and cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, alignment and efficiency.
