Northrop Grumman Space Systems - Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Systems Administrator/ Principal Systems Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL.
Position Overview:
The selected Systems Administrator/ Principal Systems Administrator will provide support for the Modeling and Simulation - Framework (MASC-F) program. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting software development and integration staff to ensure that the required tools and processes are in place to develop and integrate the MASC-F system.

Salary Range: $77,600.00 - $116,400.00Salary Range 2: $95,800.00 - $143,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Position Overview:

- Provide critical system administration of the software development and lab environments
- Perform necessary system administration functions to support teams and applications
- Implement and maintain an integrated software development environment, servers, and workstations
- Responsible for overall day-to-day operations, system security and availability
- Perform upgrades and maintenance in the toolset

Basic Qualifications for Systems Administrator:
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related systems administration experience, or a Master's Degree and 0 years of related experience
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible or similar technology
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: Using Azure/AWS or similar technology
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: Linux Servers, DNS servers, Domain controllers, network storage devices and HP or Dell servers
- Applicants must have 2 Years' experience with Linux Operating System Administration (i.e., RHEL8, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience designing, configuring and installing information systems such as routers, servers, switches, storage systems and laptops.
- CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II - Certification or the ability to obtain within 90-days of start
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start

- Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible or similar technology
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: Using Azure/AWS or similar technology
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: Linux Servers, DNS servers, Domain controllers, network storage devices and HP or Dell servers

Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience deploying the complete DevSecOps lifecycle including integration of build pipelines, automated deployments, and compliance scanning using test driven development.
- Experience with vulnerability remediation and security management (system hardening, log management, configuration management (i.e., Nessus, McAfee, WSUS, Splunk, ACAS, SCAP, HBSS, etc.))
- Experience with Virtualization (i.e., VMware, Horizon, vSphere, vCenter, vSAN)
- Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) Requirements and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) Implementation
- Demonstrated experience in the deployment, automated deployments, and compliance scanning using test driven development.
- Demonstrated experience with issue tracking tools such as Gitlab/VersionOne/Agility.
