POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Q CELLS Home Energy Solutions seeks a Manager of Rebates and Interconnection to manage and control projects through administrative and specialized expertise with the Home Energy System division. As Manager of Rebates and Interconnection, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Interconnection and Rebates function and all other related activities at this stage including utility applications, rebate reservations, and SREC/VPP enrollment. Major responsibilities include submission interconnection applications to utilities to obtain permission to operate (PTO), managing the performance of internal employee specialists and vendors, conducting business reviews with vendors, negotiating pricing and contracts with vendors, streamlining processes for all aspects of rebates and interconnection process to ensure best in class cycle times and building out and leading team of rebates/interconnection specialists.

This is a key position with the responsibility for building and scaling the solar support operations to match the growth of the business. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with strong analytical skills, great attention to detail, and problem solving and communication skills. This position will be based out of one of our offices in Irvine, CA or San Francisco, CA with a potential in-office schedule set at the direct manager's discretion in accordance with the company policies and procedures. Remote work may be considered for exceptional cases.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Utility research and support to ensure the database is maintained with most recent utility requirements and meeting current best practices.
  • Become a subject matter expert on the Qcells Q.Home battery system and Q.volt inverter for residential applications.
  • Track delayed interconnection and rebate approvals and work to resolve delays in a timely manner while ensuring efficiency in process.
  • Review operational procedures and ensure conformance to industry's best practices and standards.
  • Analyze and monitor team performance to improve upon cycle times as well as improve efficiency overall.
  • Update CRM, fulfillment portal, 3rd party financier portals and various other business tools to ensure we can provide excellent service.
  • Develop a system to track vendor performance for reporting purposes and to analyze data in real time.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly business reviews with vendors on performance as well as providing regular updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors in a timely and competitive manner in alignment with business goals.
  • Build an internal team to submit rebate and interconnection applications for residential PV and storage systems.
  • Hire, on-board, and train a team of permitting specialists ensuring that the team is working self-sufficiently and performs to meet company standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or other related field with 8+ years of professional work experience with a minimum of 5+ years in solar system design and engineering.
  • Demonstrated outstanding solar sales skills and results.
  • Ability to exercise strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent leadership, team development, people management.
  • Detailed oriented, analytical thinker with ability to recruit and lead quantitative talent.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present credit management, vision and strategy in internal and external forums.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-growth environment.
  • Process driven while finding long-term solutions.

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job's minimum qualifications.
