The Saint Paul City Council invites you to join their team as the next Chief Budget Officer to perform highly responsible professional work analyzing and project managing the annual City budget review and adoption process for the City Council. Serves as a senior advisor to the City Council and Director of Council Operations.
Develops, coordinates, and manages annual City budget process requiring analysis and deep understanding of City budget as well as planning and staffing the Council Budget Committee and involvement in planning and staffing the Organizational Committee. Leads cross departmental teams in coordination with the Office of Financial Services to understand administration requests and to advocate for Council priorities. Identifies budget gaps; recommends solutions. Analyzes, monitors, and reports complex budget and policy topics throughout the year. Makes recommendations for future budget development.
