Actalent is currently seeking a qualified Transmission Line Engineer for a position in the Portland Metro. Seeking a dynamic individual to provide technical leadership, direction, and support for an overhead transmission design team on projects ranging from 69kV to 500kV for local utility providers, PUDs, and municipalities. Projects can range from $500k to $4M and take anywhere from 6 months to 2 years to complete. In this role, you will have the opportunity to mentor, coach, and develop talented team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met with excellence and precision.
Responsibilities
Mainly on-site in Vancouver, WA, with flexibility to work from home up to 30 days per year. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $155000.00 - $215000.00/yr.

Responsibilities
- Implement quality control processes to maintain high standards.
- Support proposal development to secure new projects.
- Lead the coordination and communication of project requirements and schedules across various disciplines.
- Identify and communicate technical risks associated with projects, ensuring proactive solutions are in place.
- Oversee production work to meet deliverable milestones, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Identify, develop, and communicate processes and tools to increase efficiency across the team and department, driving continuous improvement.
- 5+ years of transmission line engineering/design experience.
- Proficiency in PLS CADD.
- Experience in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC).
- Project coordination and scheduling expertise.
- QA/QC experience.
- Knowledge in structural, mechanical, and civil engineering.
- Experience with PLS Pole.
- PE license preferred.
- Electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering degree.
- Ability to effectively lead project teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in scheduling and budgeting.
