Summary
We are currently representing a mechanical contractor seeking an experienced and drivenProject Manager to lead commercial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical system projects across the Glendale, CA area. This position is ideal for a results-oriented professional who thrives in a leadership role and excels at managing full-cycle project delivery, building client relationships, and guiding internal teams toward successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Execution
  • Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of HVAC and mechanical construction projects from start to finish
  • Manage estimating, procurement, labor forecasting, and scheduling of installation activities
  • Administer contracts, including tracking change orders, compliance requirements, and terms
  • Review and maintain project documentation, including proposals, RFIs, contracts, and communication logs
  • Monitor labor, material usage, and costs to ensure adherence to budgets and quality expectations

Client & Stakeholder Communication
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and project stakeholders
  • Represent the company in meetings, site visits, and progress reviews
  • Foster collaboration between vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to support project success

Team Collaboration & Leadership
  • Facilitate preconstruction planning sessions with department heads and field teams
  • Coordinate between Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Field Operations, and Service teams
  • Mentor junior staff and project engineers to promote growth and performance

Financial Oversight & Strategic Growth
  • Monitor and manage financial aspects of projects including cost tracking, billing, and cash flow
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements in project management
  • Support the pursuit of new project opportunities and market growth initiatives
  • Participate in internal strategy and innovation efforts

Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

Experience:
  • Minimum 5+ years managing mechanical construction projects ranging from $100K to $25M+
  • Demonstrated success in cost control, estimating, and project forecasting
  • Proven ability to cultivate long-term client and vendor relationships

Skills:
  • Strong leadership, team coordination, and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management platforms
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Bid Tracer is a plus
