Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
- Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of HVAC and mechanical construction projects from start to finish
- Manage estimating, procurement, labor forecasting, and scheduling of installation activities
- Administer contracts, including tracking change orders, compliance requirements, and terms
- Review and maintain project documentation, including proposals, RFIs, contracts, and communication logs
- Monitor labor, material usage, and costs to ensure adherence to budgets and quality expectations
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and project stakeholders
- Represent the company in meetings, site visits, and progress reviews
- Foster collaboration between vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to support project success
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Facilitate preconstruction planning sessions with department heads and field teams
- Coordinate between Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Field Operations, and Service teams
- Mentor junior staff and project engineers to promote growth and performance
Financial Oversight & Strategic Growth
- Monitor and manage financial aspects of projects including cost tracking, billing, and cash flow
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements in project management
- Support the pursuit of new project opportunities and market growth initiatives
- Participate in internal strategy and innovation efforts
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years managing mechanical construction projects ranging from $100K to $25M+
- Demonstrated success in cost control, estimating, and project forecasting
- Proven ability to cultivate long-term client and vendor relationships
Skills:
- Strong leadership, team coordination, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management platforms
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Bid Tracer is a plus
