About the role

As a Senior Accounts Payable ("AP") Associate at Cover Genius, you will be working amongst a rapidly expanding Global Financial Operations team, reporting to the Associate Director, Global Accounts Payable. This role requires a knowledgeable and resourceful team player who will support and assist in the evolution of the day-to-day AP and T&E transactions while working cross-functionally across the organization. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process while ensuring data integrity, fostering strong vendor and internal relationships, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate is a driven and reliable person with a strong background in accounts payable, exceptional communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and wants to be part of a global insurtech company with the vision to protect all customers of the world's largest digital companies.

What will your day look like? You will...
    • Customer Service & Relationship Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for external and internal stakeholders regarding payment inquiries, discrepancies, and resolutions. Foster positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
    • Invoice Processing & Payments: Review, process, and reconcile Partner and Underwriter invoices in accordance with company policies and payment terms. Ensure accurate and timely payments.
    • Data Integrity & Compliance: Maintain accurate records, verify approvals, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing efficiency within the accounts payable function, including automation and streamlining workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices.
    • Reconciliation & Reporting: Reconcile accounts payable transactions, and resolve any discrepancies relating to Partner and Underwriter reporting. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities as well as audit support.
    • Vendor Management: Monitor vendor accounts, resolve outstanding balances, and maintain an up-to-date vendor database. Review onboarding new vendors and ensuring compliance with company policies.


What you will bring;
    • 5+ years of progressive AP experience, preferably in a senior or lead role.
    • A diploma in accounting or finance is highly preferred.
    • Experience working with NetSuite and Coupa preferred.
    • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google sheets.
    • Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles, general accounting practices, and financial controls.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to manage vendor and internal relationships effectively.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The base salary range for this role is between $100,000 and $135,000 depending on experience and location.
