The Impact you will have in this role:

The Head of Mortgage, Executive Director, is a key leadership role in Product Management working alongside the Head of Fixed Income Business in efforts to develop new products and services and expand participation in existing Fixed Income products and services with the goal of enabling the clients and industry to further mitigate risk, build new market efficiencies, and reduce overall costs. This role involves collaboration across industry participants, vendors, and cross-functional DTCC teams to build viable arguments for new products and services.

Your Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of Fixed Income Business in leading efforts to develop new products and services and expand participation in existing Fixed Income products and services, with emphasis on increasing the level of participation of buyside firms in the Fixed Income businesses.
  • Drive collaboration across industry participants, vendors, and cross-functional DTCC teams to build viable arguments for the development of new products and services for the Fixed Income businesses.
  • Lead the PL for the MBS Product, including the understanding of all the fees, expenses and market impact on the PL.
  • Strengthen the relationships with the MBS market participants: mortgage originators, dealers, banks and the buy side.
  • Be able to engage in and lead client and industry forums.
  • Understand and lead the closeout process of MBSD Clearing Members.
  • Support the development of business cases and business requirements for new products and services.
  • Own, design, and drive end-to-end execution of business development initiatives.
  • Support the expansion of non-US firms' participation in the Fixed Income businesses. Assist Fixed Income in its foreign regulatory reporting efforts on a scheduled and ad hoc basis as needed.
  • Operate independently and thoughtfully while driving business development and ensuring compliance with all DTCC standards.

Qualifications:
  • In depth understanding of the mortgage market and the mortgage lifecycle from origination, TBA trading to pool allocations and pool settlement.
  • Excellent understanding of central clearing and what role MBSD plays in the mortgage marketplace
  • Understanding of SIFMA MBS guidelines
  • Extensive experience in product management and business development within the financial services industry.
  • Consistent record of driving measurable outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop arguments and requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and thoughtfully while driving business development initiatives.
  • Experience in navigating regulatory environments and ensuring compliance.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
