The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Pulmonary and Critical Care, Sleep Medicine, is searching for a full-time faculty member in sleep medicine for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. Outpatient responsibilities will include sleep clinics and interpretation of sleep studies. The appointee will also provide inpatient clinical coverage for the pulmonary consult service, Medical Intensive Care Unit, and procedure services. Clinical responsibilities will be primarily at our Hyde Park campus as well as at UCM Ingalls Memorial Hospital. Teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows, and scholarly activity are required. The institution has an ACGME-accredited sleep medicine fellowship program. Compensation (including a generous fringe benefits package) is dependent on qualifications. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) have completed fellowship training in sleep medicine, and 4) be Board Certified or Board Eligible in sleep medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care medicine.
