As the Quality Assurance Manager for our beverage plant, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing quality assurance protocols, conducting regular inspections and audits, and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement. You'll collaborate closely with production teams to address any quality issues that arise, implement corrective actions, and continuously strive to enhance our processes. Additionally, you'll oversee the training of staff on quality procedures and regulations and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your dedication to maintaining exceptional quality will be instrumental in upholding our reputation and delighting our customers with every sip.
Main responsibilities
Quality Assurance Leadership:
o Lead and oversee all aspects of quality assurance within the production facility.
o Develop and implement comprehensive quality control policies and procedures.
Regulatory Compliance Expert:
o Stay abreast of food safety regulations and ensure the facility's compliance.
o Collaborate with regulatory bodies during inspections to maintain industry standards.
Quality Control Professional:
o Implement and monitor rigorous quality control measures throughout the production process.
o Conduct regular inspections to ensure products meet or exceed defined quality standards.
Process Audits and Improvement:
o Conduct regular audits of production processes to identify areas for improvement.
o Collaborate with production and other relevant departments to implement enhancements.
Documentation and Record-Keeping Excellence:
o Establish and maintain detailed documentation for quality control procedures.
o Ensure accurate record-keeping of all quality-related activities and results.
Supplier Quality Management:
o Collaborate with procurement to establish and maintain high-quality standards for incoming raw materials.
o Conduct audits of suppliers to ensure they meet quality specifications.
Training and Development:
o Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for production staff on quality control procedures.
o Keep the team updated on changes in quality standards and regulations.
Customer Satisfaction Focus:
o Collaborate with customer service to address quality-related concerns and inquiries.
o Implement corrective actions to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Non-Conformance Resolution:
o Lead investigations into quality non-conformance and deviations.
o Implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes.
Continuous Improvement Advocate:
o Foster a culture of continuous improvement in quality assurance processes.
o Implement initiatives to enhance overall quality performance.
Collaboration with R&D:
o Work closely with the research and development team to ensure new products meet quality standards.
o Provide input on quality aspects during product development.
Emergency Preparedness and Response:
o Develop and oversee emergency response plan related to quality issues.
o Lead crisis management efforts to minimize the impact of quality incidents.
What we are searching for
o Three (3) or more years of leadership experience in a production environment.
o Two (2) or more years working with Lean Manufacturing principles.
We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience
o Four-year college degree in Food Science, Biological science, Chemistry, or a related field.
o Certification in HACCP Principles and Preventive Controls for Human Food
o Strong production background - the ability to turn data into action.
o Ability to manage and develop employees.
o Ability to interface with regulatory agencies.
o Strong skills Working knowledge of MS applications including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, - and PowerPoint and ability to grasp additional business-related applications.
