Join Casey's Construction team as the Director, Construction and Engineering! As the Director, Construction and Engineering, you'll lead and manage a dedicated team, overseeing all aspects of construction projects from initial planning and design through to final completion. In this role, you'll ensure that projects are executed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Compensation:
Starting pay range: $128,700 - $183,800. Actual pay may vary based on Casey's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance and an annual equity grant in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of construction projects. Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Review and approve project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and company policies. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Address any issues or delays promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met. Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress and performance.
- Develop and manage the construction operations budget. Monitor project costs and implement cost-saving measures where possible. Ensure financial targets are met and report on financial performance.
- Responsible for hiring, training, salary administration, performance management, coaching and corrective actions for direct reports. Responsible for collaborating with team members on career development and goal setting. Acts as a champion of a committed and empowering culture, working with direct reports and team members on modeling Casey's values.

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field or equivalent work related experience required.
- At least 10 years of relevant work related experience required.
- Thorough knowledge of principals and techniques of organization, administration, general construction and mechanical engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of standard tools, materials, methods and practices used in building construction and repair, including carpentry, plumbing, petroleum and electrical systems.
- Experience with large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
- Ability to develop plans and procedures to improve the quality and efficiency of all store construction.
- Strong knowledge of building trade standards and terminology preferred.
- Work is performed in both an office setting and field site locations. Extensive travel, including overnight stays, is required approximately 25% of the time. Must possess a valid driver's license and have the physical ability to drive a vehicle for job related travel.
