Your Opportunity
We are seeking a Principal Water Resources Engineer to join our Atlanta office as a senior delivery leader. This role involves providing technical leadership on a variety of municipal and industrial treatment, pump station/conveyance, and water resources projects, primarily in the southeastern US. The ideal candidate will also support business development efforts, mentor staff, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
- Lead technical aspects of municipal and industrial treatment, pump station/conveyance, and water resources projects.
- Provide direction on solving technical problems and delivering sound engineering solutions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and process lead on projects.
Business Development Support:
- Meet with clients to understand their upcoming project needs.
- Formulate technical approaches to provide client solutions.
- Participate in professional organizations such as GAWP.
- Provide technical input to proposal responses, prepare scopes of work, and level of effort estimates.
Mentoring and Team Leadership:
- Mentor junior to mid-level engineers in Georgia.
- Provide guidance on breaking down and solving technical problems.
- Foster the growth and development of our teams.
- Serve as a team leader in the Atlanta office.
Work Split:
Win (10-30%):
- Support pursuits across the US South.
- Build client relationships.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for client engagements.
- Provide technical input to proposal responses.
- Prepare scopes of work and level of effort estimates.
Do (55-80%):
- Serve as project technical leader, process lead, and/or subject matter expert.
- Lead municipal and industrial treatment, pump station/conveyance, and water resources projects.
- Mentor and lead a community of junior to mid-level engineers in Georgia.
Manage (10-15%):
- Collaborate with and/or supervise staff in the region.
- Foster the growth and development of our teams.
- Serve as a team leader in the Atlanta office.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Strong technical expertise in municipal and industrial treatment, pump station/conveyance, and water resources projects.
- Proven experience supporting business development and client engagement.
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
- Active participation in professional organizations such as GAWP.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in water/wastewater engineering.
