Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a Project Manager to oversee and manage the completion of internal capital projects ranging from $25K to millions, depending on experience. This role requires spending 50% of the time on-site at the plant and the other 50% in the office. The Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders, third-party vendors, and internal teams to scope, price, and execute projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare cost estimates, schedules, and performance objectives for capital and expense projects.
  • Guide external resources to achieve new designs, modified or replacement equipment, buildings, structures, or systems per applicable codes to meet production, environmental, and safety requirements.
  • Prepare RFQs (Request for Quotes) and obtain competitive bids and estimates for labor and material costs to secure funding for assigned engineering projects.
  • Analyze and recommend bids, estimate labor costs, downtime costs, and material costs to develop a budget.
  • Guide internal supporting engineering team members and external contracted resources as needed to develop and execute project deliverables.
  • Manage and coordinate onsite contractors to ensure safe and efficient execution of design, construction, modification, and installation projects for plant equipment, facilities, and systems.
  • Coordinate with plant maintenance and operations for various phases of the projects.
  • Adapt to new procedures and tools for executing project deliverables efficiently.
Essential Skills
  • 3+ years of strong project management experience
  • 3+ years of industrial plant experience (chemical, oil, pulp & paper, steel)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Projects, Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint)
  • Self-motivated and driven to work through bottlenecks and meet deadlines
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering
  • Knowledge of safety codes and building codes (OSHA and NAFT)
  • Familiarity with pressure vessels and hydraulics
  • Project Management experience (2 years ideally with timelines, budgets, managing, and MS tools)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 3D for reviewing
Work Environment

The role involves spending 50% of the time on the manufacturing floor working with different teams and groups on projects, and 50% in the office reviewing drawings, communicating with vendors, and managing project progress. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $67.00/hr.
