Blu Omega is seeking aSenior Data Analyst to lead advanced data analysis efforts that drive security and privacy insights across enterprise-scale datasets. This position plays a critical role in designing algorithms, building custom workflows, and delivering actionable intelligence from diverse data sources. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, cybersecurity awareness, and the ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze and define data requirements, sources, and specifications.
- Design and implement data mining, warehousing, and analytical solutions.
- Develop custom algorithms, scripts, and automation for large-scale data processing.
- Perform statistical analyses, hypothesis testing, and regression modeling.
- Provide strategic, data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Build and manage data standards, policies, and procedures.
- Present findings using data visualization tools and creative formats.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and developers to design applications and improve data systems.
- Manage data compilation, storage planning, and retrieval strategies.
- Research and recommend emerging database technologies and architectures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant cybersecurity or data analysis experience.
- Advanced degree in a technical or cyber-related field (or equivalent combination of education and certifications).
Key Skills & Tools:
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Java, C++).
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, STATA, SPSS, SAS).
- Skilled in data modeling, mining, transformation, and pre-processing.
- Strong knowledge of statistical methods, regression analysis, and machine learning.
- Experience developing data dictionaries, ontologies, and semantic models.
- Ability to visualize complex datasets using tools like Tableau, D3.js, and HighCharts.
Technical Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of data mining, warehousing, and database management.
- Familiarity with big data platforms and tools such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig.
- Strong grasp of cybersecurity principles, secure coding practices, and privacy frameworks.
- Knowledge of database theory, query languages (e.g., SQL), and programming structures.
- Understanding of operating systems, computer networks, and threat landscapes.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to cybersecurity and data privacy.
Core Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and technical writing abilities.
- Ability to manage large, complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
- Attention to detail with a focus on data integrity and security.

Salary Range: $130K - $140K
