We are actively seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Department in Jacksonville, FL. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle civil engineering design for land development and infrastructure projects
- Ensure designs comply with DoD standards, codes, and specifications
- Lead project planning, design, and execution for site development including building pads, foundations, utility infrastructure, drainage, and grading
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, budget control, and timely delivery
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff
- Develop and manage construction plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and government agencies
- Conduct site visits to review progress and resolve technical challenges
- Prepare and process change orders, maintain budgets, and contribute to project forecasting
Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of 20 years in civil engineering with a focus on land development, drainage, grading, and utilities
- At least 6 years of specialized experience in drainage and utility design
- Prior experience managing DoD-related civil engineering projects is highly preferred
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Excel
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline (required)
Licensing:
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (required)
Skills & Requirements:
- Proven ability to manage complex and multi-disciplinary projects
- Strong knowledge of DoD regulations and engineering procedures
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
