The Associate will work within a high energy team supporting key funds within Credit inclusive of $26bn Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) seeded by a closed ended fund investing in the Capitalized Manager Vehicle (CMV). This individual will be tasked with the quality execution of the day-to-day core accounting responsibilities, engaging with structuring and portfolio management teams on structured credit transactions and securitizations, facilitating quarterly revenue and AUM to our corporate team for public reporting and actively driving the year end audit cycle. This a tremendous opportunity to understand the complexity and diversity in both fund and investments within structured credit. Pay Range
$110,000 - $130,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for month end financial close process for US and European CLOs and the CMV, including review of month end accounting records from internal portfolio management system, portfolio valuation and cash/positions reconciliations prepared by the Operations team.
- Develop analytical reports for NAV movements, profit/loss, fund and investment performance on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Review of CLO flow of funds, quarterly waterfall calculations, management fees, and incentive fees.
- High level interaction with structuring and portfolio management teams on structured credit transactions, securitizations, DCF cash flow models, and projections.
- Coordinate the year end audits, including audited consolidated financial statements and provide information for annual tax reporting.
- Report quarterly and annually accounting information to corporate accounting to for 10Q/10K reporting.
- Preparation and coordination of capital and distribution notices, quarterly investor statements, investor inquiries, liquidity reporting, and ad-hoc requests.
- Analyze expense allocations and budgets between multiple fund entities
- Identify areas for process improvement, developing solutions, and overseeing the prioritization and implementation of those solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
- CPA preferred
- 3-5 years of Public/Private accounting experience preferred
- Strong U.S. GAAP technical accounting expertise (portfolio, partnership and corporate accounting)
- Previous experience working with credit instruments including, but not limited to, bank loans, bonds, and structured products (CLO, CDO, etc.).
- Previous experience evaluating process controls, procedures, and flows.
- A critical thinker with strong quantitative and analytical skills who expresses their thoughts and ideas clearly both in oral and written communications.
- A collaborative thinker who can also work independently, multitask, and prioritize competing demands to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and organized self-starter with a positive attitude, powerful work ethic, strong attention to detail and advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- A change cultivator, with strong a technology background and a focus on automation.
