The Senior Insights Specialist is a member of the Global Insights Team, which serves as the voice of the market across brand, market, consumer, and competitive insights. The Senior Insights Specialist has broad responsibility in supporting a variety of efforts across these areas. Executing and managing market and competitive research is the primary focus of this role and involves tracking industry trends, assessing market sizes and competitive dynamics, and analyzing market opportunities to inform strategic business decisions.

Senior Insights Specialist supports research initiatives by collecting, analyzing, and reporting on market and competitive data to inform business and marketing strategies. This role collaborates with key stakeholders, leveraging industry trends, competitor insights, and macroeconomic factors to deliver clear, actionable recommendations. A highly analytical thinker with strong research, communication, and collaboration skills, the Senior Insights Specialist plays a crucial role in translating complex data into insights that drive strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting market sizing, forecasting, and benchmarking analyses and support day-to-day management of key initiatives to help inform business strategies and identify growth opportunities
  • Track and analyze competitor activities, strategies, and market positioning to highlight potential threats and opportunities
  • Stay informed on industry shifts, consumer behaviors, and macroeconomic changes to provide strategic recommendations and insights, including oversight of Global trends executive updates and newsletters
  • Analyze and synthesize data from various sources to deliver actionable insights that inform marketing and business strategies. Develop reports and presentations that translate complex findings into clear, compelling narratives
  • Support the execution of research projects from inception to delivery, including developing research briefs, writing unbiased questionnaires, collaborating with stakeholders, ensuring data integrity, and managing vendor partnerships when needed
  • Develop and manage research studies tailored to specific business needs, ensuring high-quality data collection and analysis
  • Proactively review and analyze syndicated data and insights, turning them into clear, concise, summaries and reports with actionable insights to inform marketing strategies
  • Deliver insights grounded in robust research design, analysis, and business knowledge to guide marketing and business strategies and inform decision-making
  • Assist with various team initiatives as needed, including brand measurement, creative and message testing, and consumer insight initiatives
  • Build relationships across the organization to understand business needs and provide insights that support strategic decision-making
  • Reinforce research best practices, mentor internal stakeholders on insights methodologies, and support team initiatives that enhance data-driven decision-making
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of insights processes, ensuring adherence to best practices and maintaining high standards for research quality and impact
  • Enhance the visibility, credibility, and value of the Global Insights team through the delivery of quality work, adherence to best practices, and maintaining rigorous internal processes
  • Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting

Qualifications

Minimum:
  • Four (4+) years or more of market research/insights experience
  • Four (4+) years or more of marketing/advertising related experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

Preferred:
  • Previous experience in qualitative research
  • Experience in travel, mobility, or hospitality industries
  • Proven experience in managing research programs from conception to completion
  • Experience in market and competitive insights, including market sizing and forecasting
  • Experience with Qualtrics platform
