Job Purpose and Summary
The overall mission of Investment Management is to actively manage Investment Portfolios (Health, Group Insurance and Large Case Pensions) in a manner that is prudent and consistent with preserving the Company's capital while maximizing investment income and total return relative to internal benchmarks within appropriate business, legal economic, capital markets and regulatory constraints.
Position Summary: Lead Director will be responsible for independently conducting comprehensive credit analysis and providing timely buy/sell/hold recommendations of corporate credits, primarily in Technology, Media, and Telecommunications sectors. Will be responsible for preparing timely, written analyses on individual credits, sectors, or events. Monitor global macro-economic conditions, broad sector performance expectations, yield curve expectations, internal/external business conditions, and market technicals. Provide in-depth knowledge, serve as internal sector expert, and maintain on-going dialogue with Investment Grade and High Yield portfolio managers on investment strategy in a collaborative team environment. May be responsible for mentoring, coaching, and assessing the performance of junior members of the analyst team.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$144,200.00 - $288,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Independently conduct highly comprehensive credit research including corporate credit analysis, industry, structure, workout, and country analysis.
- Conduct thorough analysis of corporate financial statements and assess relative value of security and company investment opportunities.
- Provide timely buy/sell/hold recommendations to Portfolio Managers, taking into account total exposure, maturity, and relative value considerations.
- Provide in-depth knowledge, serve as internal sector expert, and maintain on-going dialogue with Portfolio Managers on investment strategy in a collaborative team environment.
- Evaluate and interpret current or potential bond holdings relative to a portfolio strategy and recommend appropriate actions based on portfolio requirements.
- Evaluate corporate fundamentals and industry trends, key operating metrics, business quality, and competitive position incorporating ESG fundamental factors in the overall analysis.
- Attend industry and company conferences, interacting when appropriate with corporate borrower management teams as part of ongoing due diligence process.
- Prepare timely, written analyses on individual credits, sectors, or events.
- Concisely presents facts, analyses, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Mentor, coach and assess the performance of junior members of the analyst team as appropriate.
- Maintain extensive relationships with contacts at rating agencies, Wall Street firms, and other outside sources to obtain external views on individual credits or industries.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree or CFA preferred
Prior Relevant Work Experience
- 10 or more years of investments experience
Preferred Qualifications and Functions
- Direct Experience in Technology, Media, and Telecommunications sectors
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Solid communication skills
- Undergraduate Studies in Finance, Investments, Accounting, Economics, or Mathematics
