The Director for College and Career Services provides instructional leadership in the development, facilitation, coordination and supervision of College and Career Services programs and those programs that link secondary education with post-secondary pathways. Provide leadership in areas of CTE legislation, educational pedagogy as applied to dual and concurrent enrollment programming, CTE, CTE funding, and community and industry partnerships and industry certifications. This Director will also take the lead in establishing Career Academies in all high schools and leading efforts to embed the newly designed District 20 Portrait of a Graduate into the fabric of the district's culture. They will also be working in tandem with counselors to use the new Navigator tool to ensure that every student finds meaningful ways to explore careers and complete their ICAP by the end of their senior year.

- Attains proficient or higher evaluations on established Performance Standards
- Anticipates and assists in professional learning needs of CTE instructors and dual enrollment adjuncts
- Collaborates with building administrators, teachers and counselors to develop, implement, evaluate, improve, and renew CTE programs
- Collects, analyzes, and reports essential data and documents for compliance with state and federal requirements
- Communicates, promotes, and interprets the district's CTE program options to parents, students, and the community
- Empower principals at the high school and middle school level to increase their CTE, industry certifications, and teacher externships
- Establishes annual contracts with partners for CTE services and any other required documents for dual and concurrent enrollment
- Establishes close working relationships with community and state agencies, and local businesses and industries in order to provide program development and training consistent with local, state, and national needs
- Establishes partnerships with local post-secondary institutions that lead to articulation agreements for CTE courses and dual enrollment opportunities offered within the district
- Facilitates local program advisory committees for all approved CTE programs
- Leads the work of developing plans at each level and each school for implementing the Portrait of a Graduate.
- Leads the work with principals to establish successful Career Academies at each school
- Maintains knowledge of and participate actively in CTE initiatives at the local, state, and national levels as appropriate
- Oversee the College and Career Services Department and promotes the vision of the District for post-secondary readiness
- Oversees the implementation of the Business Round Table throughout the year in partnership with the Superintendent
- Partners with counselors and administrators to ensure meaningful and successful completion of the ICAP for all students
- Partners with school site personnel (administrators, counselors, teachers) to deliver services and monitors and coordinates the application process, student achievement, and supplemental services
- Prepares and administers the CTE and Perkins Basic Federal Grant budgets
- Prepares annual state and federal reports that permit the district to receive reimbursement for CTE programs and Carl Perkins Basic Federal Grant
- Strengthens and cultivates industry and community partnerships

- Bachelor's (Baccalaureate) degree (e.g., B.A., A.B., B.S.)
- 3-5 Years Experience in an Educational Setting
- Authorization: CTE Initial - Colorado Department of Education
- Principal License: Initial - Colorado Department of Education
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree (e.g., M.A., M.S., M.Eng., M.Ed., M.S.W, M.B.A., M.L.S.)
- 3-5 Years Experience in Career and Technical Education including Program Development, Implementation, and Evaluation
