The ideal candidate, under the direction of the Manager of Communications, is a highly motivated, team-oriented individual with a strong technical background, communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional video solutions.

The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows: $102,000 - $138,000 per year.
The compensation for this position may include a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.

The firm is actively seeking a Senior Video Systems Engineer to join the IT department. The ideal candidate, under the direction of the Manager of Communications, is a highly motivated, team-oriented individual with a strong technical background, communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional video solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end video systems
- Develop system architectures and specifications for video conferencing, streaming, broadcast, and digital signage
- Select and integrate hardware/software components
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex video system issues
- Perform maintenance and performance monitoring of video systems
- Research and evaluate new video technologies
- Manage video system projects
- Collaborate with IT, and other departments
- Perform related duties as assigned or directed by supervisor from time to time
- Maintain compliance with all firm policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in video systems engineering
- Expertise in video signal flow, formats, and standards (e.g., SDI, HDMI, NDI)
- Proficiency with video codecs (e.g., H.264, H.265, VP9, AV1)
- Extensive experience with:
o Cisco Video Conferencing Systems (e.g., Room Kit Pro, Room Kit EQ, Room Bar)
o Pexip Audio Bridge for use with Teams, Google Meet, Zoom, and WebEx
o Live Streaming Platforms/Technologies. (e.g., On24)
o Broadcast Systems (e.g., switchers, routers, recorders)
o Digital Signage Systems
o Video Distribution Systems (e.g., IPTV) - Proficiency with video hardware (e.g., cameras, encoders/decoders, switchers, media servers, displays)
- Strong understanding of network protocols/technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, Multicast, VLANs)
- Familiarity with AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX)
- Proficiency with video software/tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to create/maintain technical documentation
- Project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
