In this position...

The Senior Specialist, Human Resources Business Partner, will play a pivotal role in aligning HR strategies and support with business objectives. This role has a focus on supporting a client group Electric Vehicles (EVs), Digital, and Design and may lead HR projects for the broader HR team. Strong data analytics skills are needed to manage data and identify HR insights that drive decision-making. Additionally, the role fosters a culture of continuous improvement and consults with leaders and teams on a variety of employment issues.

The Electric Vehicles (EVs), Digital, and Design team is highly technical and includes software engineering, electronic architecture, digital and product design, and battery technology and manufacturing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Consult with business leaders to take decisions that are strategic in nature and tend to relate to people processes and workforce planning.
  • Partners with HR team members on matters pertaining to employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, leaves, performance management, company policies, training, and legal requirements.
  • Collaborates with the employee relations team and departmental managers for the resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Delivers special projects involving the development of innovative solutions and processes to address complex problems in the domains of employee engagement, talent planning, performance management, etc., consistent with business objectives and long-term strategy.
  • Coaches and guides leaders on matters related to employee morale, retention, engagement, and performance.
  • Fosters positive relationships with operations partners, HR colleagues, COEs, and employees to jointly deliver business objectives and resolve issues.
  • Utilizes advanced Excel features and other data analysis tools to identify and interpret trends and insights and tell compelling stories with data.
  • Demonstrates leadership to navigate complex and ambiguous issues from root cause identification, through ideation, to resolution and monitoring for continuous improvement.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline and improve HR processes using data insights.
  • Leads or participates in HR projects that require data analysis and reporting.


Qualifications

You'll have...
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree (preferred) in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Management, Data Science, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience with a master's degree or 5 years of work experience with a bachelor's degree, in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Advanced data and analytics skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new data tools, such as Alteryx, and apply learnings to daily work.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft programs.
  • Agility and change management capabilities.

Licenses and Certifications:
  • Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) (Preferred)

Work Requirements:

Involves occasional (defined as one-third or less of the time) lifting of no more than 10 pounds at a time. Work is performed primarily in a seated position and entails no significant stooping, standing, climbing, walking, etc. Many sedentary jobs require good use of the hands and fingers for repetitive hand-finger actions. Working conditions occur within low to moderate noise levels related to the use of standard office or classroom equipment.
