Description:
Amazon's Advertising Trust (AT) organization is seeking a creative and strategic Senior Program Manager to lead our internal communications and employee experience initiatives. This role will be instrumental in building and maintaining a strong organizational culture, driving employee engagement, and establishing AT's brand identity both internally and externally across our global team of 1,400+ employees spanning Operations, Engineering, Product, Data Analytics, Science, and Ad Policy.
As the Internal Communications & Employee Experience leader, you will develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that connect our diverse workforce, celebrate our successes, and drive engagement across all levels of the organization. You will partner closely with AT leadership to craft and deliver compelling narratives that bring our mission and values to life.
Key job responsibilities
Internal Communications & Announcements
* Develop and execute strategic communication plans for organizational initiatives, changes, and achievements
* Create and manage internal newsletters, leadership communications, and team updates
* Partner with AT leadership to craft executive communications and presentations
* Establish and maintain communication channels that effectively reach all employee segments
* Build scalable processes for gathering and sharing team success stories and updates
* Work with Amazon PR teams to align internal and external messaging on key announcements
Events & Employee Engagement
* Design and execute engaging virtual and in-person events that strengthen team culture
* Lead planning and execution of organizational all-hands meetings, leadership offsites, and team building activities
* Create innovative recognition programs to celebrate team and individual achievements
* Partner with Amazon's corporate events team to leverage company-wide programs and resources
* Develop and manage event budgets and vendor relationships
* Coordinate with PR for speaking opportunities and event publicity when appropriate
External Brand Presence & Social Media
* Develop and execute AT's external communication strategy in partnership with Amazon PR and Corporate Communications
* Manage AT's presence on LinkedIn and other professional platforms
* Partner with Recruiting to create compelling employer branding content and career opportunity messaging
* Collaborate with PR teams to amplify AT's thought leadership and innovation stories
* Build relationships with internal stakeholders to source and create engaging content
* Work with Legal and PR teams to ensure all external communications align with Amazon guidelines
* Support recruitment marketing efforts by partnering with TA teams on employer branding campaigns
Team Branding & Identity
* Define and evolve AT's organizational identity and culture narrative
* Create branded templates, materials, and assets for team use
* Develop style guides and brand standards for consistent communication
* Lead initiatives to strengthen team culture and sense of belonging
* Partner with Recruiting and HR to develop compelling employer value proposition materials
* Ensure brand consistency across all internal and external platforms
* Work with PR and Corporate Communications to align AT's identity with Amazon's broader brand guidelines
A day in the life
Your morning begins with a review of engagement metrics from recent communications and social media posts, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. You'll then lead the weekly communications planning meeting with regional leads to align on upcoming announcements and coordinate global messaging strategy.
Mid-morning, you'll partner with the VP's Strategic PM to develop content for the monthly all-hands meeting, ensuring key messages are clear and compelling. You'll also review proposed LinkedIn posts from team members and provide guidance on alignment with our external communication strategy.
After lunch, you'll facilitate a working session with the events team to plan the upcoming Q2 leadership offsite, coordinating logistics, agenda, and content development. You'll then meet with HR partners to align on communication plans for several organizational changes.
In the afternoon, you'll lead a creative workshop with team members to gather input on refreshing AT's visual identity and brand guidelines. You'll close out the day by analyzing the results of a recent employee engagement survey and drafting recommendations for new recognition programs.
Throughout the day, you'll handle time-sensitive communication needs, maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure all communications align with AT's culture and values while meeting Amazon's high bar for quality and impact.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field
- 6+ years of professional experience in internal communications, employee experience, or related field
- Experience managing internal communication channels and creating engaging content
- Track record of successfully executing large-scale employee events
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellence in written and verbal communication
- Experience using data and metrics to measure communication effectiveness
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across organizations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Experience in tech industry or advertising technology
- Knowledge of Amazon's leadership principles and culture
- Expertise in digital content creation and social media management
- Event planning and management experience
- Experience with employee engagement programs
- Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
- Understanding of change management principles

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
