Senior Programmer Analyst (Full Time)
Department: All Openings, Information Technology
Position Summary: Responsible for supporting and integrating ERP, collaboration tools and other applications across the organization and with external partners. Works with a variety of departments, vendors and others as appropriate.
Essential Job Functions
Design, create, modify and customize software programs, reports and sessions.
Troubleshoot issues/problems regarding programming within computer systems and make necessary configuration and/or software changes.
Research information as needed through documentation, manuals, and online help via Internet.
Interface with hardware and software vendors to obtain information and support for problems, coordinate systems repair as required.
Interface with system users to develop specifications for program development.
Perform programming using software development languages to generate, modify, and customize applications, reports and sessions.
Conduct system analysis and design establishing functional specifications to be used for application development.
Install, configure, maintain and schedule repairs for numerous supported hardware used with our applications such as scanners and barcode label printers.
Review development and maintenance project status with management, finalize details, and establish timeframe requirements.
Document web development projects in weekly status reports.
Assist with the training and development of customers.
Act as a technical resource for the company.
Review development and maintenance project status with management.
Continuously examine the processes and systems used in this function to improve the effectiveness and quality of the work done.
Perform other related duties as required.

Education and Experience
Requires a Bachelor's degree with major course work in Information Science or a related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with SQL databases
Experience in a Linux ORACLE database environment
Ability to clearly document all projects and to manage bug reports from staff and customers efficiently.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of users and support staff
Experience with web/application development
Good understanding of data base theory and design principals
Working skills in system design and development
Experience with Git or other DVCS
Experience with Web service development (APIs, REST, XML Feeds, and SOAP). Experience with Web service development (APIs, REST, XML Feeds, and SOAP)
Organizational and basic project management skills are required to perform the duties of this position
