Requirements:
The successful candidate has a solid experience in rail context, to manage civil, installation and cable routing design along the wayside and within the technical rooms.
Accountabilities:
- Coordinate the infrastructure design, collaborate on projects with colleagues, delegate tasks, and check projects for quality and consistency.
- Develop and implement successful design strategies by outlining how the design team will create the project's deliverables.
- Oversee the processing and implementation of site modification requests and instructions from and to the construction team. Ensure all modifications are documented, communicated, and executed in compliance with project standards and timelines.
- Address RFIs directed to engineering promptly and efficiently. Take ownership of the process, ensuring thorough and accurate responses and facilitate clear communication and collaboration between engineering to resolve RFIs effectively.
- Integrating the CBTC infrastructure team design in order to achieve a harmonized design that can be easily constructed on site, making sure the produced installation details are compliant with the contract, the system requirements and the local electrical regulations.
- Coordinate and seek resolution of the technical Interfaces between the infrastructure team works and technological Systems/subsystems;
- Be the connection chain between the site personnel and the engineering team - creating synergy between the design and the field needs, delivering critical feedback when necessary.
- Identify the critical issues in the development of the infrastructure project and propose mitigation actions;
- Ability to use Bluebeam and CAD software for interfaces definition and management, as part of the project delivery strategy according to the Engineering Management Plan.
Qualifications:
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- 3 to 5 years' experience of Infrastructure Works in the Railway Engineering context especially developed in the area of construction and civil installation Design
- Additional expertise in the railways contexts for a brown field is considered as a plus
Operative competencies
- Gather information for the existing infrastructure to complete the design
- Ability to identify, understand and overcome challenging when the team develops the design
- Familiar with Requirement Traceability Matrix and the Interface Registers tools
- Design management of contractors and sub-contractor activities: contract requirements and design processes-control;
- Demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines and are self-motivated;
- Possess the ability to adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment;

Education:
- Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering University Degree or Equivalent Technical Background
- Professional Engineer license in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Installation preferred
Languages: Written and verbal English communication skills
NOTE:
- The salary range for this position is $108,000- $162,000 per year. Final pay is determined by the candidate's experience, skillset and ability level, internal equity and location.
- In accordance with the DOT's FRA and FTA programs, the company substance screening program tests pre-employment candidates and current employees, as required for safety-sensitive positions.
