Role Summary

The position will support product strategy, management, development, and positioning for T. Rowe Price Multi-Asset strategies including Target Date, Retirement Income and 529. The candidate will partner with Investments, Global Product, and Distribution to ensure that their asset class's respective strategies on projects and for ongoing product management support. This position also emphasizes project management skills to enable effective communication of critical milestones occurring with various product initiatives. In conjunction with business leads across multiple divisions, the manager is responsible for identifying issues, analyzing alternative approaches, and leading cross-functional teams to implement solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Supports product management activities associated with the launch/introduction, restructuring, merging, closing, or re-opening of new products, classes, or new vehicles, for highly complex products. Partners with Legal, Finance, Risk, etc. to ensure successful implementation. Evaluates economic success of products.
  • Supports design of business processes, procedures, and policies related to their asset class products and investment vehicles. Works across operations, distribution, investments and corporate divisions to investigate a variety of topics, including client eligibility, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
  • Partners with Product teams to build the business cases for new and existing firm offerings in the marketplace, often focusing on highly complex products and/or clients. Demonstrates knowledge of assigned products, the marketplace, industry, and client need to drive product growth/development and maximize profitability. Identifies opportunities and provides recommendations around product enhancements or market growth. Creates, manages, and delivers customized analyses reflecting advanced professional insights.
  • Supports planning, preparation, and execution of product governance meetings for boards, committees, key stakeholder groups. Includes providing highly complex analytical support, documentation summarizing business issues, and presenting materials as appropriate.
  • Where applicable, works with various internal groups (portfolio specialist, sales, and marketing teams) to develop and execute against a strategic marketing plan to enhance delivery of optimal net new business and ensure the effectiveness of product collateral.
  • Provides coverage and serves as backup to other Product Managers as needed.


Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
  • 7+ years of total relevant work experience
  • FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.


Preferred:
  • Knowledge of Multi-Asset and Retirement investment strategies, markets, and competitive offerings
  • Demonstrated ability for execution experience with regards to product strategy, product development, and product management work, successfully ensuring delivery of good customer outcomes leading to beneficial commercial results.
  • Outstanding verbal, written (primarily PowerPoint), and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to gather meaningful data and synthesize it to represent a story. Familiarity with Morningstar Direct a plus.
  • Professional curiosity to identify and drive new ideas of opportunity.
  • Enthusiastic and optimistic with a drive to succeed and willingness to take managed risks.
  • Project management experience with a business perspective and strong process orientation with a history of delivering results
  • Ability to manage time and shifting priorities effectively while in a challenging operating environment, and under minimal guidance
  • The preferred candidate should be able to take conceptual instructions or guidance and then have the initiative and creativity to create the readily accessible and repeatable exhibits or reports

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

$94,500.00 - $161,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$103,000.00 - $177,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$117,000.00 - $201,000.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual's relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
