- Patch and STIG Linux Operating to ensure compliance with DoD Information Assurance standards.
- Provide troubleshooting support for Linux/Windows Operating Systems.
- Perform system updates and server configurations, including upgrades of the Operating System.
- Implement changes to locally hosted workstations/servers. Support virtual and physical networking configurations.
- Provide hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of virtual and physical networking configuration.
- Strong hardware, software, and network troubleshooting skill sets.
- RedHat 7, or higher, Enterprise administration, including workstation and server.
- ACAS/Nessus experience or similar vulnerability scanner familiarity.
- Provide support for the administration of multiple VMWare ESXi environments across the RDT&E enterprise.
- Provide support the virtualization of Linux based virtual machines.
- Experience using distributed file systems.
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in providing tier 1 - tier 3 support to niche SME end users.
- Applicant must be a self-starter with a positive attitude and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Occasional travel is required.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED and over three (3) years of relevant experience in system administration of LAN/WAN systems, systems maintenance, and systems monitoring/reporting are required.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
- An active Secret security clearance is required to start.
- Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Must have DoD 8570/DoN 5239 IAT Level II certification (Security + CE).
Desired Skills for the Selected Applicant are:
- Understanding of DISA STIG guidance and RMF requirements.
- RedHat 8/Ubuntu22, or higher, Enterprise administration, including workstation and server.
- Experience with Bash and/ or Python/YAML scripting.
