Qualifications:
- Master's degree preferable in the field of Computer Science, Education, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Appropriate State of Ohio licensure
- CETL Certification
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to work effectively with others

- Organizational and problem solving skills
- Advanced computer/word processing skills
Essential Functions:
- Work with, organize and lead a team of technology professionals in developing, implementing and sustaining a digital learning environment
- Provide leadership in the assessment of the current technology practices and make recommendations to improve and implement educational technology programs that support the district's strategic plan, state standards, legislation, and curriculum adoptions
- Assist in the selection of equipment, software, and instructional materials related to the integration of technology. Duties may include communicating with vendors and being a liaison between technology staff, administrators, and teachers.
- Assist in planning and providing professional development to instructional and support staff to ensure integration of student computer competencies as outlined by state and national standards
- Stays abreast of emerging legal issues and provides recommendations on policy updates as they relate to current and emerging technology practices
- Collaborates with key leaders to ensure the appropriate levels of technology supports are available for all areas of the curriculum
- Uses data acquisition and analysis to drive decisions. Prepares reports to the Board and the community on technology as requested
- Responsible for setting the direction of and implementing the District's Technology Plan and completes all state and federal technology reports, grants and proposals
- Maintains district technology budget, plans ahead for future projects, infrastructure needs, one-one device program, etc.
- Support department personnel through professional learning, mentorship, and evaluation tools
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain professional competencies of technology and instructional practices by attending professional seminars and workshops
- Respond to routine questions and requests in a timely, appropriate manner
- Establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships
- Participate in committees, study teams, and activities as assigned or agreed upon
- Effectively operates equipment needed or essential job functions
- Maintain a safe work environment for self and others
- Responsible for budget recommendations and oversight as assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent

- Frequent weekend/evening/summer work/overnight
- Occasional operation of a vehicle under inclement weather conditions
- Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull various items up to a maximum of 25 pounds, e.g., paper boxes, deliveries of supplies and equipment
- Occasional interaction among unruly children
- Frequently move and position self as necessary to access and operate equipment
- Frequently move around workspace and travel throughout school building
