Introduction
We're looking for a Business Design Consultant to power the Business analytics and Business Insights engine behind our $1B+ Professional Services (PS) business. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of capacity planning, backlog optimization, pricing, and revenue analytics, enabling us to run our business with precision and speed. You'll work closely with BU leaders and global delivery teams to drive decisions across headcount, utilization, gross margin, and PS-specific KPIs. We're looking for someone who works "the geek way": curious, fast-moving, data-obsessed, and unafraid to challenge assumptions with evidence and insight.

Your role and responsibilities
You'll Drive These Impacts:
- Identify key business levers and propose clear decision points to drive financial performance and delivery effectiveness.
- Produce actionable insights that help senior leaders make timely, high-impact decisions.
- Develop and refine approaches to improve the PS business model and drive higher revenue conversion and margin.
- Build and maintain models for backlog rundown, capacity planning, and revenue/pricing analysis.
- Forecast backlog conversion and burn-down, distinguishing between in-quarter and future-quarter realization.
- Analyze capacity and headcount requirements across geographies, roles, and skills to support demand.
- Evaluate profitability at the offering, and segment levels to optimize pricing and delivery strategy.
- Analyze core PS metrics such as utilization, band mix, and low-cost country ratio.
- Use Excel and Power Query to build scalable, repeatable analytics workflows.
- Specify and build dashboards in Cognos to support decision-making for senior leaders.
- Gather and synthesize data across systems and teams, resolving gaps and inconsistencies with urgency.
- Collaborate with global teams across time zones including finance, sales, delivery, and operations.

Required technical and professional expertise
- 5+ years in analytics, FP&A, or operational reporting roles.
- Strong understanding of Professional Services business models including billable headcount, backlog dynamics, and delivery economics.
- Experience working directly with executive stakeholders and influencing business decisions through data.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, drive insights with incomplete data, and bring clarity in ambiguous situations.
- Demonstrated ability to automate data pipelines and insight delivery using tools like Excel, Power Query and Cognos.
- Comfortable publishing and sharing data insights through web-based pages or internal portals to enable self-service access and broad visibility.
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Experience in a technology-led PS organization with exposure to pricing, capacity, or profitability modeling.
- Familiarity with forecasting techniques and scenario modeling for delivery and revenue planning.
- Background in financial modeling or data engineering that supports fast, reliable analytics delivery.
