ABOUT THE JOB

The Creative Operations Manager oversees and optimizes Marathon Health's creative production process, ensuring the seamless development and execution of marketing and communication materials across multiple teams.

Acting as the operational leader of an in-house design agency, this role will:

  • Manage the end-to-end creative workflow, from intake and prioritization to design, review, and final delivery.


  • Oversee the in-house design team and external resourcing, ensuring efficient allocation and collaboration with key teams, including Engagement Marketing, B2B Marketing, Growth (Sales), Operations, Client Success, and Internal Communications.


  • Administer project management tools (Asana) to streamline creative requests, tracking, and fulfillment.


  • Ensure high-quality, on-brand execution of materials such as patient marketing collateral, B2B content, sales presentations, and field marketing assets.


  • Implement and oversee the Marq self-service templating platform, empowering internal teams to create marketing materials efficiently while maintaining brand consistency.


  • Work closely with stakeholders to continually optimize creative operations, workflows, and processes to support the growing needs of the business.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of creative projects-from request intake and prioritization to design production, review, and final delivery.


  • Implement standardized creative workflows and playbooks to ensure efficiency, clarity, and consistency.


  • Track and manage creative project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, proactively addressing bottlenecks and shifting priorities as needed.


  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to measure creative team performance, project volume, turnaround times, and efficiency improvements.


  • Serve as the owner of the Asana project management tool, ensuring seamless tracking and communication of all creative projects.


  • Manage the in-house creative team, including graphic designers and creative traffic manager, providing mentorship and guidance to optimize their performance.


  • Facilitate collaboration between the creative team and Engagement Marketing, B2B Marketing, Growth (Sales), Operations, Client Success, and Internal Communications.


  • Manage stakeholder expectations in terms of project prioritization, development timelines, and expected outputs with a high degree of diplomacy, and an eye toward reducing friction.


  • Oversee relationships with external creative agencies and freelancers, ensuring they align with Marathon Health's brand and quality standards.


  • Work closely with the Marketing Traffic Manager to oversee the intake, prioritization, and execution of creative projects.


  • Own the implementation and management of the Marq platform, enabling teams across the organization to customize and generate marketing materials efficiently.


  • Maintain and update 200+ branded templates, ensuring compliance with brand standards and ease of use for internal teams.


  • Train internal users on best practices for leveraging Marq to streamline content creation and improve turnaround times.


  • Ensure all materials and campaigns adhere to the company's brand standards (as well as the clients' as applicable), reinforcing a consistent and professional visual identity.


  • Lead post-project evaluations to identify successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Design, Communications, or a related field preferred.


  • 10+ years of experience in creative operations, design management, or project management within a marketing or agency environment.


  • Expertise in creative project management, including workflow design, resource allocation, and process optimization.


  • Proficiency in project management tools (Asana, Workfront, Jira, or similar) to track and streamline creative workflows.


  • Strong familiarity with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, etc.) to effectively liaise with creative professionals.


  • Experience implementing and managing self-service marketing template platforms like Marq.


  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within scope.


  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional relationships and stakeholder expectations.

PAY RANGE: $120,000 - $160,000/yr

The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate's years of experience and/or skill level. This position is also eligible for an annual incentive.
