The Senior Software Engineer is a key position within the Instrument NPI team, responsible for maintaining and implementation across multiple platforms. This role requires leadership in technical excellence, representing NPI on project core teams, and driving continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Salary Range:
$112,000.00 - $168,000.00

The Senior Software Engineer is a key position within the Instrument NPI team, responsible for maintaining and implementation across multiple platforms. This role requires leadership in technical excellence, representing NPI on project core teams, and driving continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 6-8+ years' experience in software development.
- Programming experience in C#, Python, Java.
- Familiarity with software development and hardware components.
- Experience in design and development of complex subsystems.
- Familiarity working with manufacturing or a Third-Party Manufacturer is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
- Experience in software design discussions to ensure manufacturing needs are met.
- Experience developing software that directly interacts with test equipment (i.e., power supplies, multimeters, data acquisition devices) to automate electronics testing.
- Experience supporting hardware build, developing test software, debugging, validating, and fine-tuning test stations for release to production.
- Good command of Linux.
Preferred Experience:
- Hands-on experience with life sciences instrumentation.
- Previous Agile experience is a plus.
- C++ a plus.
- Experience with genomics and/or scientific instrumentation is a plus.
- Knowledge in applicable genomics related bioinformatics tools and data analysis.
