The Manager, Infrastructure Services leads technical teams, directs infrastructure and financial management, and drives strategic IT planning, governance, and cybersecurity operations while managing technology partnerships to optimize corporate-wide infrastructure and support services.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversees initiatives, vendor relationships, and budgets to ensure operational excellence and strategic alignment with business goals.
  • Provides leadership to direct reports responsible for delivering corporate-wide technical infrastructure, i.e. network (Telecom & Datacomm), cloud, server, database administration, storage area networks, data center management, IT disaster recovery arrangements and tests coordination, level 1 and 2 applications troubleshooting, level 1 and 2 24/7 end user support services (Helpdesk and Deskside Services).
  • Oversees cybersecurity initiatives and vendor relationships.
  • Actively leads ITSM practices such as Change, Incident and Problem Mgmt.
  • Uses change management to lead and support the planning and implementation of transformation initiatives and business process reengineering.
  • Manages and maintains cloud infrastructure and corporate hardware infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, access points, servers, workstations, laptops, printers, telephones, and mobile devices.
  • Administers corporate services and acts as Tier 2/Tier 3 escalation point for core third party business systems.
  • Plans, implements, and tests disaster recovery procedures in collaboration with key internal and external partners.
  • Develops, manages, and continually monitors multi-million dollar operating, capital, and personnel budgets, aligned with procurement guidelines.
  • Negotiates cost-efficient contracts for carriers, internet service providers (ISPs), renewals, and new purchases, ensuring successful execution and compliance with financial guidelines.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional business groups to clarify current and future technological and support requirements aligned with strategic corporate objectives.
  • Works with the Project Management Office (PMO) to deliver project accountabilities in alignment with agreed project timelines.
  • Develops and recommends IT strategic initiatives, governance frameworks, and alternatives addressing information systems, service delivery, disaster recovery planning, security, and facility needs aligned with business objectives.
  • Evaluates and manages technology partnerships to support and enhance corporate infrastructure and service delivery.
  • Point of contact for cybersecurity, providing expertise on information security investments, overseeing security hardware and software testing, deployment, maintenance, conducting security awareness training, and monitoring information security trends.

Qualifications:
  • University Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • A minimum of 7-9 years of experience in a similar and relevant position.
  • Progressive IT management experience leading various IT support teams including server, network, telephony, cloud, cybersecurity, and end-user.
  • Experience developing and monitoring multi-million-dollar IT budgets.
  • Experience managing vendors, vendors contracts and data centre operations.
  • Information technology infrastructure library (ITIL) experience.
  • Experience in creating business-specific documentation, business cases, and RFx.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills in IT, encompassing network, server, applications, telephony, end-user support, data center management, and Cybersecurity.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IT hardware and software products, including servers, networks, telephony systems, applications, cloud, and Cybersecurity tools.
  • Ability to effectively manage and monitor IT budgets to ensure service delivery within approved operating and capital budgets.
  • Familiar with data center operations, disaster recovery, uninterruptible power systems (UPS)
  • Proficiency in identifying and implementing risk mitigation strategies to eliminate single points of failure within the infrastructure.
  • Skilled in project management, capable of leading projects of varying sizes and scopes.
  • Knowledge and application of ITIL-based policies and guidelines.
