Woodland Elementary School Principal

Woodland Elementary School is a school of approximately 680 students in the suburban area of Eagan. The mission of Woodland Elementary School, and our other elementary schools, is to nurture the development of responsible citizens in an increasingly interdependent and diverse society. Woodland Elementary School offers an interdisciplinary approach to a rigorous core curriculum. Students engage in innovative and challenging instruction designed to enhance children's natural curiosity and their critical and creative thinking. Teachers empower students to inquire, express and discover their unique abilities through a variety of experiences. Woodland's reputation as a welcoming, safe environment is known throughout the community. The staff has established strong, positive partnerships with parents and community members
Responsibilities: The principal reports to the director of elementary education and is responsible for overall direction and administration of Woodland Elementary School facilities, resources and instructional programs. This includes selection, supervision, development and evaluation of licensed and support staff, budgets, capital expenditures, building policies and procedures, schedules and public relations. The principal is also responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment in the school.

Compensation / Benefits:
Salary in the range of $152,003 - 162,649 (based on 2025-26 school year) depending upon qualifications, plus an excellent benefits program.

Desired Qualifications
- Leadership experience in the field of education, especially at the elementary school level
- 5 years teaching experience, preferably at the elementary school level

- A proven commitment to community service and the ability to develop community partnerships
- Proven experience in providing meaningful recognition and support to staff and students
