The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing the quality strategy and execution for Tangent's manufacturing divisions. Reporting directly to the VP of R&D and Quality, this position will lead the quality department in ensuring that all products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations. This is a role that requires leadership, technical expertise, and a strategic approach to quality assurance and continuous improvement across the organization.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance and quality control strategies aligned with Tangent's goals and regulatory standards.
- Lead and mentor the quality team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and customer focus.
- Align quality initiatives with business objectives and communicate quality metrics and achievements.
- Process and Compliance Management
- Ensure adherence to all relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications.
- Design and monitor quality management systems (QMS) to meet regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments (Engineering, Production, Sales) to ensure quality is embedded across the manufacturing process.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify areas for process improvement and drive initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead root cause analysis efforts for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in quality management and recommend innovative solutions.
- Supplier and Customer Quality Assurance
- Oversee supplier quality to ensure compliance with Tangent's standards and manage relationships to foster collaborative improvement efforts.
- Partner with customers to address quality concerns and work towards resolutions in a timely and effective manner.
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Establish KPIs and monitor quality metrics, providing regular reports to executive leadership.
- Utilize data-driven analysis to assess risks, optimize quality processes, and guide decision-making.
Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Proven expertise in quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Lean Six Sigma, TQM).
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), or Six Sigma Black Belt.
- Experience in data-driven decision-making tools (e.g., statistical analysis software).
- Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and industry best practices.
