The Corporate Director of Clinical Nutrition & Wellness is responsible for establishing and maintaining patient care standards based on regulatory & individual hospital requirements. This role leads development and defines and implements Thomas Cuisine's Clinical Nutrition standards of care in collaboration with the Dietitian work group, Operations, and other stakeholders. The Director educates and mentors all involved staff (hourly & leadership) on dietetic requirements to enhance patient care outcomes.

Direct Report: Vice President of Operations - Healthcare
Primary Duties
Regulatory Compliance & Service Excellence:
- Develop relationships with Clinical Nutrition Managers/Directors, Registered Dietitians, and Food Service Directors to align overarching and location-specific requirements.
- Continuously refine Thomas Cuisine (TC) nutrition care standards to reflect current best practices and requirements for exceptional patient outcomes and regulatory success.
- Abreast of change to CMS changes, strategizes for improved outcomes, and communicates required regulatory updates to all locations.
- Curates and validates QAPI library and engages in review and analytics of QAPI project data collection and reporting.
Service Delivery & System Development:
- Coordinates with ITS diet office software is operationally appropriate, utilizing available patient data.
- Collaborate with Food Service leaders for nutritionally balanced menus across required diets.
- Work on current and new materials to educate staff on the importance of proper preparation, and delivery of proper trays to avoid patient harm or medical delays.
- Develops clinical productivity standards based on regulations in coordination with individual hospital requirements, as needed.
- Subject matter expert of TC Diet Manual, CBORD, Diet Office operations, and EHR integration.
- Represent TC at select Dietetics conferences (ASPEN) to promote awareness, outreach, and recruiting opportunities.
- Aligns field with regulatory (Joint Commission, DNV, CMS) updates, challenges for survey readiness, and progressive nutritional patient care.
- Assures proper productivity model for Clinical Nutrition productivity based on patient mix, specialties, and physician requirements.
Leadership:
- Takes an active role in sourcing/recruiting efforts of HC Clinical positions (CNM, CND, RD, DT-R).
- Actively sources and participates in public health education events.
- Leads staff training and professional development initiatives, (i.e. CEUs), focused on nutrition.
- Develop a collaborative platform to inform/involve/align Clinical leaders on trends/practices. Pursues peer review opportunities & subject matter expert (SME) network.

Qualifications:
- Masters of Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field; Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
- Maintains registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Experienced leading a highly functioning, multi-faceted Clinical Nutrition Team
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (Joint Commission, DVN, CDPH, CMS, etc.)
- Ten years actively working as an acute care Dietitian showing progressive advancement in leadership, and responsibility scope with a minimum of five years as a bedside dietitian. Multi-site responsibility preferred.
- CNSC, CDE preferred.
- Knowledge and use of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of CBORD or similar diet office software and EHR integration
General Work Requirements:
- Ability to work on multiple assignments with multiple stakeholders ranging from front-line staff to C-Suite leaders.
- Travel to Healthcare (and other) locations for support, sales presentations & openings. (25% - 50%)
