Job Title: Release Manager
Location: Massachusetts (Hybrid - 2 days onsite per week)
Duration: 12 Months

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Release Manager with a minimum of 8 years of experience to oversee and manage the release and implementation of technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of business functions, software development lifecycles, and project management methodologies. This role will involve liaising with subject matter experts, reviewing project and requirement documentation, and performing impact assessments for a variety of IT projects of varying complexities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for release management and the implementation of third-party vendor solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops with agency SMEs and vendor teams to gather and document business requirements.
  • Represent the department in vendor discussions regarding system changes and project updates.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal SMEs to support implementation, testing, and issue resolution.
  • Identify and address project risks and issues, performing Go-Live readiness assessments.
  • Work closely with implementation leads to ensure project risks are mitigated and project goals are achieved.
  • Develop and maintain an integrated project schedule, aligning goals, milestones, and all aspects of the SDLC.
  • Ensure user requirements, deliverables, and approvals are clearly defined and documented.
  • Communicate project status updates to stakeholders regularly.
  • Oversee and support business analysts assigned to the project(s).

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in release management or related roles.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience, including leadership of cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with local, state, or federal government projects preferred.
  • Familiarity with State-Based Marketplaces (SBMs) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office 365, and related project management tools.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
