Under the general direction of the Chief, Human Resources Division (Staff Services Manager III), the Staff Services Manager II (SSM II) serves as Human Resources Classification & Pay and Transactions Manager/Labor Relations Officer and is responsible for human resources programs not limited to classification and pay, performance development and management, pay, benefit and leave programs, position control, and other human resources functional areas in accordance with the civil service laws, rules, and departmental policies and procedures. The SSM II also serves as the Labor Relations Officer; provides guidance and mentorship to subordinate supervisors and staff; and directs staff on a wide variety of complex administrative, human resources management issues.

This position is designated as required to file a Statement of Economic Interest (Form 700) under the California Health and Human Services Agency Conflict of Interest Code. Statement of Qualifications
To be considered for this vacancy, you must submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) with your STD. 678. The SOQ is a narrative discussion of how your education, training, experience, and skills qualify you for the position.
