Job Description
Resource Management sits at the heart of Saatchi & Saatchi Welnness. We focus on deploying talent, understanding skill sets, and delivering on operational needs. We help our various brand teams find the right resources based on availability and skills, ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time. Our goal is to drive results by understanding data, relationships, and talent performance.
As the Director of Resource Management, your key responsibility is to deliver high-quality staffing solutions promptly by leveraging your project management and interpersonal skills. Collaborating with business and capability leads, you will ensure target utilization is met, anticipate client resource needs, provide reporting to project teams, lead status calls, identify staffing gaps, and support the head of HR on resource-related matters. Your ultimate goal is to place the right talent on the right assignment at the right time, requiring a deep understanding of talent and resource needs across the agency.
You will work closely with Finance, Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to manage the entire process from identifying needs to placement, tracking billability, allocations, and usage. Additionally, you will focus on building tools and processes to streamline and scale resource operations both domestically and internationally.

Compensation Range: $119,500 - $201,200 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off. Responsibilities
- General Responsibilities:
- Lead agency discipline to optimize billability and utilization
- Maintain excellent understanding of the company's business and external market
- Leading and mentoring resource management team members, developing their skills and capability
- Create and implement strategic goals and plans for your team
- Drive operational impact and set high standards for work processes
- Serve as a subject matter expert and guide managers in career development
- Establish efficient processes for resourcing activities and liaise between departments
- Serve as an escalation point, addressing and resolving conflicts that may arise from resource allocation decisions
- Ensuring that resource management practices comply with relevant laws and regulations
- Executive Reporting and Partnership:
- Prepare detailed reports for the executive team on assignments and hiring status
- Provide insights on staffing metrics and talent management trends
- Partner with internal clients and stakeholders to drive strategic decisions using data
- Meet aggressive deadlines and manage multiple complex projects
- Change Management:
- Identify and champion resourcing change initiatives
- Sustain change through consistent communication with stakeholders and leadership
- Adapt and pivot to alternative plans for successful change implementation
- Talent Management and Innovation:
- Drive diversity in client and project teams
- Collaborate with HR to identify talent gaps and prioritize hiring needs
- Utilize exceptional knowledge of business and management principles for strategic planning and resource allocation
Qualifications
- Required
- 7-10 years of process-focused resource management/staffing/workforce planning experience, preferably in advertising or consulting
- Deep understanding of the art and science of resource management
- Relationship management and influencing skills
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas and filtering/sorting
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to simplify complex issues for clear understanding
- Outstanding organizational awareness and change management skills
- Knowledge of process improvement and facilitation
- Experience as a staffing manager in a consulting environment with changing project needs
- Confident, assertive communication style with tact
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with concentration in HR, business operations, marketing, or advertising
- Operations experience in fast-paced, dynamic business setting
- 4-6 years of project management experience in digital marketing, direct marketing, or e-commerce, with client or agency experience
- Proven success in delivering strategic presentations to senior leadership
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI is a plus
- Comfortable in a matrix organizational structure with accountability to multiple managers
