JOB SUMMARY
The Mechanical Engineer will be designing, creating BOM's, debugging and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities include:
PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY
This position will primarily be communicating with other Engineers, Buyers, Estimators, Manufacturing personnel, Vendors, and Service Technicians. They will also be communicating with Senior Management, Project Managers, and Customers frequently.

EQUIPMENT USED
This position will use a computer with Microsoft Office, copier, phone, engineering measurement tools, MRP system, AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 3D.
WORKING AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONS
This position will work primarily in an office setting with time spent on the manufacturing floor. This position might also have to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities include:
- Designing the most complex mechanical work
- May be supervising others and delegating tasks
- Planning and organizing projects
- Completing projects within budget
- Maintaining project budgets and hours
- Mentoring and training less experienced engineering staff
- Adhering to engineering processes and procedures
- Designing for any of our product lines
- Generating assembly drawings
- Generating accurate Bills of Materials
- Working with structural steel, insulation panels, duct work, sheet metal, piping, etc.
- Additional items as assigned by manager

COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with AutoCAD 2D and 3D package
- Application of extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines
- Develops technical solutions to complex problems
- Works with minimal direction and has wide decision making latitude
- Designs and engineers custom fabricated sheet metal equipment, assemblies, and products
- Performs accurate calculations to determine sizing of all required mechanical materials
- Reads and interprets complex mechanical drawings and with understanding of electrical drawings
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly while working in budget
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to get along with a variety of personalities and individuals
- Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines
- Experience with the design of all types of sheet metal in a manufacturing environment
- Metal Fabrication experience is preferred
- Experience working in an ISO Certified company is preferred
- Experience with root-cause analysis and problem solving preferred

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
- 9+ years of Engineering experience
