Overview:

INTECON is seeking a mission-focused Facilities Engineer to provide direct engineering support to the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG) at Davis-Monthan AFB. This position is part of a broader engineering services requirement to augment and advise AMARG's organic engineering team. The Facilities Engineer will play a key role in the planning, execution, and maintenance of infrastructure projects supporting AMARG's mission readiness.

The contractor's engineering team will review AMARG projects and assist with the development and implementation of process orders, facilities engineering initiatives, industrial process control (IPC), and engineering change management in accordance with AFSCMAN 21-102_OO-ALCSUP, AFSCI 21-402, and all applicable guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide subject matter expertise and engineering involvement in the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of AMARG facility projects.
  • Support shop layouts, reliability management, repair assessments, and preventive maintenance analysis.
  • Assist with facility repairs, alterations, new construction, and equipment installations.
  • Draft accurate Statements of Work (SOWs) and Performance Work Statements (PWSs) for facilities projects.
  • Ensure compliance with AFSCMAN 21-102, local supplements, and other regulatory publications (Appendix B).
  • Collaborate with AMARG stakeholders to sustain infrastructure that enables mission-critical operations.
Clearance Requirements:
  • Active SECRET or Interim SECRET security clearance is required at the time of application.
  • Top Secret clearance is preferred and may be required for future tasking.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the engineering field.
  • Ability to conduct research, analysis, and produce technically sound documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to engineering support.
  • Familiarity with Air Force engineering regulations, depot-level maintenance environments, and infrastructure project planning.
  • Experience supporting DoD engineering programs or facilities-related initiatives.
  • Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, ISO 9001, or OSHA are a plus.
