About the role:

As the Partnerships Program Manager for X's moonshot for the electric grid you will play a critical role in supporting a multi-disciplinary team through development of a new Platform, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage and drive moonshot learning goals and the successful and on-time completion of milestones and projects. You will identify and prioritize risks in ambiguous, complex environments across both internal and external stakeholders. This position calls for someone who is highly-organized, a persuasive communicator, is passionate about early stage projects, and is comfortable with ambiguity.

How you will make 10x impact:
  • You will serve as a trusted advisor and team-player to our partnerships org, in order to foster long-lasting partnership relationships.
  • Serve as an additional relationship manager for our current existing partnership agreements. Lead us to optimize value from these partnerships.
  • Provide strategic and operational support for Partnerships Org including invoice management, project management trackers, meeting trackers, milestone deliverables, scheduling meetings, setting agenda for meetings, and helping to create meeting materials.
  • Identify key metrics to evaluate Partners and activity both quantitatively and qualitatively. Streamline operational workflow by identifying and eliminating bottlenecks.
  • Help develop partner communication materials such as newsletters, dashboards, case studies, and other scalable materials.
  • Help organize partner events such as partner visits, field trips, fireside chats with executives, and lunch and learns.
  • Collaborate with our cross-functional teams in Partnerships, Business Development, Finance & Accounting, Power Systems Engineers, Software Engineers, and Product Managers.

What you should have:
  • Bachelor's degree, electrical engineering, power systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience (e.g., business development, consulting, program management, partner management, etc.) with experience managing electricity-related projects across several teams and external stakeholders.
  • The primary focus of this role is for a partner that is based on the East Coast of the US. As such, the location we are hiring for is Philadelphia or New York, or the ability to travel +/- 50% of the time
  • Track record of delivering complex programs on a tight timeline and budget.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for detailed documentation of the project and progress.
  • Team player and creative thinker who is able to lead teams including engineering, business development, operations, and other cross functional groups, and vendors.
  • Comfort with complex software, technology and power systems topics.

It'd be great if you also had these:
  • Experience managing a project related to Transmission Planning
  • Demonstrated knowledge and passion for the energy sector and sustainability
  • Understanding of the electricity industry and renewable energy industry.
  • Experience interfacing with clients and running client meetings.
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment and juggling different requests.
  • Being able to connect market knowledge and channel experience to new opportunities.
  • Ability to build quantitative and qualitative business cases, articulate trade offs, and confidently make data driven decisions and recommendations.
  • Entrepreneurial, persistent, highly collaborative and curious with excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000 - $207,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
